What I learned in this class

Ethics are the principles of right and wrong individuals, acting as free moral agents, use to make choices to guide their behavior. Information systems raise new ethical questions for both individuals and societies because they create opportunities for intense social change.
And for the privacy in the internet age, I think it's unsafe. For instance, in China, most of us use WeChat, and it is monitored by the government. But I don't care it a long as they won't leak my personal information, such as sell my information to others for get profits and cause inconvenience. I think that I won't do something illegal, so they have no reason to pay attention to my life. In fact, most of us know  this behavior is not ethical, we still use it maybe because we don't have other choices, maybe.
For the business & production, there are 3 important elements: input, process, and output. Input, such as labor, capital idea and land & resources. Stable, formal social structure that takes resources from environment and processes them to produce outputs. A formal legal entity with internal rules and procedures, as well as a social structure.
Information systems technology can be seen as a factor of production that can be freely substituted for capital and labor. As information systems technology automates the production process, less capital and labor are required to produce a specified output.

Pay attention to every detail

This week, our class made the presentation of process which related to some small and easy things, but almost us made the same mistakes, that is, forget the details. Actually, details are very important in our daily life. We need to consider every possible situations. For instance, if someone enroll the school website, what is the process, but remember to add what should we do if we can't enroll successfully at the first time, as it may happen. If we go to the library, we need to use the library card, we need to keep our bags, sometimes, we will borrow books. So, we need to consider all of things, if somebody don't take bags, or the book isn't available, how can we continue this process.
My group topic is "Order at Starbucks a cup of Cappuccino". After the lecture's advice, we know we still have a lot of disadvantages, we should have considered more possible situations and more details. For instance, customer choose a cup size, we need to add the three cup size " small, medium and tall", at the process of customized coffee, we can add the possible situation“ add some milk or sugar". Moreover, we can put the time period of the whole process.

About Me and My First Class

Hello, welcome to my blog. My name is Hu Minghui, you can call me Hana. I am a student at president university.
I like reading novels, As the saying goes: Books are the ladder of human progress. For me, reading novels is a good way to calm down. What's more, from those novels, I can watch and experience different life to improve myself.
My another hobby is travelling. In my opinion, travel is the journey to observe or explore new things, which makes me very excited.
From the class, I know Management Information Systems (MIS) is the study of people, technology, and organizations. If you enjoy technology like iPhones, iPods, and Facebook, you have what it takes to major in information systems. All you need is an interest in technology and the desire to use technology to improve people's lives. Many people think that MIS is all programming. However, programming is just a small part of our curriculum and there are many, many jobs in MIS where you do not program.
Everyone who works in business, from someone who pays the bills to the person who hires and fires, uses information systems. For example, a supermarket could use a computer database to keep track of which products sell best. And a music store could use a database to sell CDs over the Internet.
MIS is very important in our life.
